- On our way through Banff and Jasper I made sure to plan some trips to Yoho as well. Emerald Lake Lodge is one of the most photogenic spots around this vivid turquoise lake which colour is caused by powdered limestone. It is obviously crowded with tourists and canoers during the day but we didnt mind to do the 5,3km circuit around even after being quite tired from two full days of endless hiking around lake Ohara. We set up out tent under the thunder of Takakkaw falls, second highest waterfalls in Canada, and were proud of ourdelves how we handle improvisating and for our presence in general 🏠🌲#bemoregrateful . . . . . #emeraldlake #lodge #yoho #YohoNP #explorecanada #canadasworld #canada150 #imagesofcanada #canoncanada #tourquise #bevisuallyinspired #wildernessculture #keepexploring #wanderwithme #stayandwander #livefolk #wildernessbabes #womenwhohike #moodygrams #letsgosomewhere #liveoutthere #backpackingdream #canadiantravelogue #ohcanada

- Today we visited #pocoheritage and saw their current exhibit: Terry Fox - “Running to the Heart of Canada”. They let the girls try out a replica of Terry’s prosthetic leg. It was so heavy. I can’t believe that he ran the equivalent of a marathon every day for 143 days with that strapped to his body. What an incredible story and legacy. I remember following his story with my parents on TV when I was little and crying when I heard that he had died. Some interesting and “coincidental” (?) facts: he ran 3,339 km until they had to suspend his run - and the house number he grew up in was 3337. Terry’s best friend Doug ran with him every day. The current owners of that same childhood home? A lady named Terry & her husband, Doug (of course). |#cggphotorawfootage

- The Inukshuk is generally built with stones placed in such a way as to look like a human being. An Inukshuk may serve a multitude of purposes: at times it points out a direction, at times it can be used to identify a food cache. In modern times, the Inukshuk has become a symbol of brotherhood, mutual aid, and solidarity. An Inukshuk will help the one who receives it to always make the right decision and choose the right path in life. // The heart of Canada in one symbol. @visitnovascotia @visitcapebretonisland @explorecanada #inukshuk #rockbalancing #stonebalance #rockstacking #rocks #art #artform #meatcove #beach #friendship #novascotia #novascotiabeaches #capebreton #capebretonisland #atlanticocean #eastcoast #visitnovascotia #explorens #explorecb #canada #explorecanada #wanderlust #travel #explore #hml_travels
